i am supposed to be reading american psycho but its in storage, my dad got it for my bday... like seven months ago askknjksa we were supposed to read it together and have a little book club so hopefully soon ill do that!! :3 also. i want to reread my dexter books!

hmm. i wanted to be an artist so in a way yes! but profession wise i did want to be a veterinarian for a good while, i just wouldnt be able to though. i would get too sad and also personal reasons lol. i would love to be an artist full time one day but! for now im looking into captioning :)

ok so i wanted to say im good at art but i feel like the parameters on that are perhaps a little skewed in my mind compared to the average person. personally i think many things about what being "good at art" constitutes (as in i believe most anyone who creates is good at it lol) so ill just say that. i am very good at organizing and categorization! (probably the autism :P) and i suppose i am bad at. starting new media and actually paying attention lol. my brother is always asking to watch shows and movies with me and i am just. always incapable of doing so 😭

cats!! i appreciate dogs but as a pet owner i do quite enjoy having cats :) i have two at the moment! peach and apricot! they are both types of calicos :)

PERSONALITY:

What’s their alignment?: Vey is definitely chaotic good. Like... i toyed with all the alignments and in the end, they’re a good person, but they go about it in a very chaotic and disastrous manner and not always within the confines of what one would call... Morally acceptable. But they’re good in the end.

Which one of the 16 Personality Types do they fit into?: God uh. brb lemme google. ONE GOOGLE SEARCH LATER... i think Vey would be ISTP? idk man. just seems like the one that’s them.

What are their hobbies and interests? Do they have any particular “favorites” (food, books, and so on)?: okay well! their hobbies are mainly tinkering with robots and technology. that would be their main hobby. they also like to gather flyers that get put up around Pandora, just as sort of like... a scrapbook or newspaper-esque thing. it helps them feel like they’re Up To Date on the world (when they’re really, really not).

favorite food would likely be grilled skag steak. they can’t afford to be picky, not really, and skag is a pretty easy food source. and they like growing their own plants, so they grow herbs and can season their food really well!

favorite books would be anything on technology, robotics, programming, and artificial intelligence, whether or not they’ve read the books!

favorite color is pink because i project SO hard sometimes and we all love pink it’s the rule now :)

favorite place (after they leave Pandora, of course) would probably be either Promethea or Nekrotafeyo!

What are they bad at?: reading people, understanding tone and body language, expressing their emotions properly. they’re also bad at writing when it comes to creative stuff. they have TRIED. lord they have tried, but Jack ends up laughing so hard he has to phase back into the ECHO eye and Zane has in fact burned some of Vey’s writing.

they’re also really bad at singing (but they still do it and they enjoy it) and they’re SO bad at dancing (two left feet type of bad) (and at Hammy and Winny’s wedding, Zane and Vey try to dance together and Zane just says Absolutely Not My Toes Already Hurt Go Dance With Jack)

What kind of things do they dislike/hate?: they definitely dislike certain textures of food. they’d never eat calamari, for instance, just because of the texture. anything less than well done when it comes to meat, they can’t eat. they dislike the texture of cooked veggies.

they really, really dislike the color yellow. after years of being employed by Hyperion and being stranded on Pandora has made them practically despise the color.

they hate dealing with bandits and psychos. they speak broken bandit and they just find it so tedious to deal with and avoid it at all costs.

while they love AIs and robots, they have a special hatred for Loader Bots, if only because of the horrifying restrictions Hyperion put on their bots (regarding sentience etc)

Do they have any vices/addictions/mental illnesses?: why are mental illnesses being compared to vices and addictions i hate it here.

anyway ofc they’re mentally ill because i am also. they got the good ol’ adhd and depression and anxiety and probably abandonment issues. good for them.

What are their goals and motivations?: they want to one day create an Artificial Intelligence from scratch, as a companion, and build an android body for that AI. but with Jack in their life, they’ve put the AI on hold and are just focusing on building functioning android bodies. it’s very fun for them!

they’re also motivated by their own curiosity, once they have the means off Pandora. they want to explore the galaxy and find new technologies and such, to see if they can find anything that might contribute to their goals.

What are their manners like? Any habits?: manners are... so-so. it’s like, they treat everyone as an equal until proven otherwise. some people might get more respect than others (like Lilith, for instance, gets called Ms. Lilith no matter how hard Lilith tries to talk Vey out of it) and some people just get dismissed. but in general Vey tries to be kind if not neutral; especially neutral BECAUSE they have such a difficult time reading people and understanding other peoples’ intentions behind their words.

What are they most afraid of?: besides spiderants? probably being alone for the rest of their life, or not accomplishing their dream. which, to them, are the same fear. if they can’t accomplish their dream, they’ll be alone for the rest of their life.

Tropes they fit: Deadpan Snarker (unintentionally), Token Wholesome (due to their difficulty interacting with people), and Adventure Duo (both with Jack and Zane, sometimes Adventure Trio?) are the ones that jump out to me the most!

Sports?: No to both! the most sporty thing Vey does is explore and hike and fight. they do their best to stay in shape because they want to be a Vault Hunter one day, but they don’t do the sports thing. and they don’t really have an opportunity to or interest in playing instruments.

What are some items they always carry?: they always have their satchel with them, and it has a variety of crap in it, but always has their toolbox as well as a few spare tools, their Hyperion thermos they’ve been holding onto for six years because it keeps their water nice and cold at all times, their sketchbook so they can jot down ideas for their projects, and usually a snack.

Do they collect anything?: posters! and robotic scrap parts, even if they don’t use them in a project they just like to keep them.

With answers based on my own HC’s and how I write the internal workings of the COV, absolutely. Yes. Totally. Gonna get a bit into the AU I’ve been working on here!

My COV is a giant, highly predatory pyramid scheme where the only progression is based on contribution. That could be through feats in combat, with monetary/weapon/stocks donations, or by increasing the overall reach of the cult through business acumen. Organising sponsorships. Running divisions, etc.

The two main paths within it are Fanatics, and Acolytes. Fanatics are your run of the mill follower. Psychos, bandits, people who have absolutely no value to the twins and will never reach any level of genuine power within the cult, but who are their main source of follower count. Their screaming war meat. The two billion $1 contributions that get sent every Lets Flay. 

Fanatics can move up within the tiers of the cult, the twins know that the urge to get closer to them is a way to motivate without spending a dime, even if they know no Fanatic will ever have value to either God. Sure, a follower may eventually become a Priest if they show enough unbridled devotion, a High Priest if the twins want to make an example of them, use them to rile up the rest of the debased scum to new levels of fanaticism, but they will never matter. Even a High Priest’s role within the COV is barely above slave to the Twin Gods, just something to fetch their current craving. Maintain the inner Cloisters of the Cathedrals, grovel. Cower. They will never be in a position of real power because the twins know they aren’t intelligent enough to handle it, to be trusted. They’d cut off a limb in sacrifice of their Gods, they’d tear each other apart to be graced with a smile. They are playthings in ceremonial robes.

Fanatics who reach High Priest rank may see the twins near daily, but they will never matter. They will never have names. They are marks. Drones who think they are far above their station than they really are, and reality can strike painfully quick if a High Priest were to step out of line to say.. a Saint.

Acolytes are the Eridian Tier Members. The sponsors, the business people. The media crew, the marketing division. Mouthpiece, Katagawa, if he’d been more willing. They are the people drawn to the COV for development of their own, not to worship two “Gods”. They may be intensely loyal to the twins, but they aren’t blinded by the religious undertones. They might use the COV for shelter, to escape persecution or a life they want to leave behind, but they turn to the twins for mutual benefit, not for worship. 

These are the people the twins can know by name. Troy’s media team are people he sees as people. Tyreen’s Acquisitions department have heads she can sit and discuss sponsorships and offers with while dropping her persona. These are the followers that the twins have value for and could know personally. 

Department heads that have shown loyalty, usefulness, and value can be elevated to Sainthood, like Mouthpiece and his broadcasting section. A Saint would be a head of a major division ranging across the entirety of the COV, from marketing, to engineering, to finance, and are viewed as close to the God Twins as anyone can be within the cult. Mouthpiece’s artistic depictions, his altar, his name being known within the COV, we talkin’ that level of notoriety. Sainthood comes with extreme perks generally, it’s a protected, well treated role directly in contact with the twins and usually with their attention when requested.

Each twin patrons different divisions like Tyreen would Marketing, or Troy would Engineering. The Saints working under each generally bear their patron twin’s tattooed sigil as a visible warning that this person is not just another follower and has been hand picked by a God to act as their direct underling. Do not touch. Do not even look at unless you want to risk your eyes being burned out.

Punishment for harming a Saint is public, used as a warning to others, and horrific.

NAME: Yinmei Zhang (张银妹 / Zhāng yín mèi). Name lit. translates to “silver girl”, or “silver sister”. ‘Grandmother Zhang’ as a joke, with Ysa.

APPARENT AGE: 35

ACTUAL AGE: 2251 (born in 231 BCE)

BIRTHPLACE: Changsha, China, in a rural area that is now a textile factory. She hasn’t been back in centuries - or perhaps, millennia? - and she doesn’t intend on visiting anytime soon.

CREATOR/CREATRIX: Jinyang Chen (陈金阳 / Chén jīn yáng); his name lit. translates to “golden sun”. Ironic, considering that he was a vampire.

FC AND FEATURES: Rowena Xi Kang. Wears a glass eye with a ruby iris in the socket of what once was her left eye.

LIKES: pretty, delicate things of all sorts!, flowers, scaring people with her glass eye >:)

DISLIKES: people who insult her fashion choices, dealing with mortals, her Creator (that stupid-ass motherfucker!!!)

GOALS: To enjoy the rest of her long, long life in any way possible, and to help Ysa protect the rest of the Coven. Oh, and she still hasn’t found a perfect perfume yet. Hmm.

FEARS: Losing Ysa and the rest of the Coven, whom Yinmei has grown attached to, through the centuries. And though she won’t admit it to anyone, she is lowkey terrified of facing her Creator again.

RUMORS: That she’s immune to religious iconography (in reality, having literally been born - as well as Created - before Christianity existed, Yinmei finds that Christian crosses and such have no effect on her, but ancient Indian and East Asian religions are a different story. Buddhist mantras make her nauseous). That her glass eye is ~magical~ in some capacity (it’s not. But Yinmei’s certainly not denying the rumors, at least not openly ;D).

T Y P I C A L S .

WARDROBE: Very lacy and delicate, and a bit frilly, sometimes. Yinmei has a penchant for reds and whites (black is also fine, if the occasion calls for it), and likes billowy gowns with sheer, wispy pieces of fabric that float prettily around her when the breeze picks up, or when she levitates. Yinmei doesn’t like things that pinch her feet too tightly, so when she wears heels, they’re usually a size or two too big - in fact, she’s not too fond of showing her feet at all, so she wears a lot of floor-length skirts (unlike her dear friend Ysabelle). She’s also very fond of jewelry, and all the pretty sparkly things that one can wear. Yinmei frequently accessorizes with dangly earrings and bejeweled hairpins, to hold up her waterfall of black hair (she’s very proud of her hair, really). Recently, she has taken to wearing razor-sharp sterling silver hairpins.

PLACES MOST LIKELY TO BE FOUND: In her rooms, perusing her extensive closet(s). Or out shopping for yet another set of pretty but useless trinkets or tchotchkes for either the house itself, or to decorate her own rooms. And, of course, hanging out with Ysa.

PEOPLE MOST LIKELY TO BE WITH: Her beloved friend Ysa, of course, as well as all the other vampires in the Coven. She has one enthralled mortal - a teenage boy who had no future beyond the violent street gangs in a city half a world over - that she uses for sustenance purposes, and for sustenance purposes only.

STRONGEST CHARACTER TRAIT: Frivolous (or, guarded. Hmm.)

MANNERISMS: Throughout her extensive lifetime, Yinmei has played the blushing bride, the dainty doll, the coy seductress, the enigmatic beauty...but now that she’s over 2,000 years old (and as safe as she’ll ever get, she thinks), she doesn’t have the patience for such games. Yinmei has always been quick to anger, and these days, she doesn’t bother to control or hide it, the way she had done for the past centuries. She walks with her head held high, her steps brisk and purposeful, and although she's not particularly tall - about five feet and three inches, or 160 cm - her curt, clipped voice is enough to get the entire room to pay attention to her. She’s blunt and unapologetic, despite her very obvious frivolity. Yinmei also has a bit of a flair for the dramatic, and when she decides that walking is too much work (or when she wants to make a particularly attention-grabbing entrance), she’ll usually opt for levitating a few inches off the ground, letting the flowy skirts she’s so fond of flare out around her.

B I O G R A P H Y .

[BLOOD GETS IN YOUR EYE - if the rumours are true, her origins are in ancient china. she claims that her small, porcelain doll-like features garnered her much attention in her day, but after her creator tied her up by her ankles to drain her and then took her lovely left eye “as a prize”, she considered herself irredeemably marred- cursed and so enraged she could swallow her own tongue. however, a short but gory reign over her old hometown followed by a good piking of her much-loathed creator did much to lift her self-image. (besides, the glass eye with the ruby iris isn’t so bad- it’s fearsome.) but, recently, it seems she may not have finished the job all those years ago.]

Yinmei was once the daughter of a wealthy provincial official in Qin Dynasty China. Polite, pristine, and perfect, commoners and lords alike compared her to a delicate porcelain doll. And for a time, Yinmei was flattered.

Yinmei was rather sickly as a child, and having her feet bound - standard practice for highborn daughters, at the time - certainly didn’t help. 

Yinmei’s demure beauty meant that her parents had plenty of suitors to choose from, and when she was seventeen, she married a regional governor ten years older than she was. As his first wife - and from a rich and powerful family at that - Yinmei was treated well enough, all things considered.

Yinmei bore him many children, which did nothing for her already delicate constitution. Her last pregnancy was when she was thirty-five, and she would have died in the process of birthing the child, had it not been for her Creator.

Jinyang Chen was a moderately powerful politician working with Yinmei’s husband, at the time. He somehow managed to keep his true nature secret, and as Yinmei lay dying, one of the nurses taking the stillborn child away, Jinyang managed to turn her, just in the nick of time.

Jinyang took Yinmei with him back to the town that Yinmei had grown up in, strung her up by her ankles (so that he could better admire her dainty, perfect feet, he said), and gouged her left eye out of its socket, keeping it as a twisted trophy of some sort. 

Understandably, Yinmei was angry. As her vampiric powers set in, Yinmei shapeshifted into a bat and escaped. She managed to integrate herself into the powerful vampire circles within China, even with the rise and fall of multiple dynasties, and a century later, she - along with some of her newfound allies - hunted down Jinyang, drove a pike through his heart, and cut him to pieces, burning what was left. Yinmei went on to reign over her old hometown (at least until the armies of the Han emperor decided to investigate the bloodbath the normally peaceful town had turned into), resolving to forget everything from her human life.

Yinmei then spent some time traveling around Asia, flitting aimlessly from place to place. In her mind, she’d suffered enough, as a human. She was going to do what she wanted, now, and that mostly meant killing shitty men, robbing wealthy landlords, and buying the most beautiful things, all for herself.

She left East Asia for Europe around six or seven centuries ago, and hasn’t been back since. With the spread of Buddhism into the continent, the spiritual and the secular had become too tightly intertwined, you see. It was annoying when even architectural features and natural landscapes had some sort of symbolic and quasi-religious importance; even now, Yinmei is loathe to return to East Asia. Pop culture is saturated with all kinds of ancient Daoist and Buddhist influences - what’s up with a fictional monk chanting his mantras all day when the TV adaptation of a Tang Dynasty novel comes on daily at 1 PM?!

In Europe, she found someone to help her finally, finally, fix her feet. Yinmei hates exposing her feet or wearing shoes that pinch them too tightly, to this day.

She also met Ysabelle Vavassour, who would eventually become her best friend. In truth, they got off to a bit of a rocky start because of a slight miscommunication (Yinmei takes perceived slights very seriously, you see - she’s petty like that), but once they cleared it up, it wasn’t long before Yinmei began to appreciate Ysa’s iconic aesthetic. And, if she’s going to be honest, it was nice to have a friend again. 

Ysa and Yinmei fell into bed together, for a brief period of time, but that was centuries ago.

Yinmei moved to the States with Ysa and the rest of the Coven. She has stayed there ever since, the only things bringing her pleasure being 1) Ysa and the Coven, and 2) pretty things (with the third being shopping for pretty things).

Yinmei has never let herself think too much about the past. But recently, she’s been feeling a stirring in her consciousness, a niggling at the back of her mind - slight enough to ignore, for now, but she can’t help but to wonder. She can’t remember everything clearly, of course, because it was two thousand years ago, but she thinks that maybe, just maybe, she didn’t finish the job completely when she killed her Creator.

with THE BLOODMOTHER aka YSABELLE VAVASSOUR - Yinmei and Ysa met quite some time ago; it’s hard to say exactly when, with lives as long as theirs. They jokingly bicker about the two-centuries difference in ages (’Grandmother Zhang’ has become an inside joke in between the two of them), and Yinmei is basically Ysa’s second-in-command (though she’d never want to be the leader of the house, herself; do you know how much work that’d be?!).

What does your favorite pair of socks look like?

I am a sad old lady without any fun socks, I’m afraid... ^_^;; I used to have loads of fun socks! I always liked toe socks as a teen, and had several pairs in a bunch of different colors, including a striped rainbow pair that made an appearance in my senior photos. XD But I find a lot of fun socks nowadays tend to be ankle cut, and I just never liked the feel of those.

What’s something that made you happy today?

I haven’t been awake for too long, but being tagged in a cute ask is a good way to start the day! :D

What’s your favorite and least favorite cereal? 

Hmmm... I really like Blueberry Morning, Cranberry Almond Crunch, and Quaker Oatmeal Squares, though I don’t get them as often as, say, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Reese Puffs, or Life as they’re more expensive for a smaller box and rarely if ever go on sale. LOL Least favorite is probably just normal, boring Cheerios or Corn Flakes. If I’m gonna have a “boring” cereal, give me Chex or Kix instead, lol.

What music do you listen to when you’re having a hard time? 

Honestly, it depends on whatever I’m into at the time. Though I do have a tendency to put on some, uh, more yelly, screamy type stuff when I’m really mad about something or maybe some more depressing stuff when I’m, ya know, depressed. ^_^;;

Do you have any stuffed animals? If so, what are they? 

I do! I used to have a LOT more, but I donated most of them a year or two ago. Some of my favorites of what I still have are my big teddy bear named Mr. Thomas who I still cuddle every night and my super old little bear that I’ve had since before I can remember named Tony (he’s missing one eye, the other and his nose have been reglued back on though the eye has been dangling by a few bits of fur for ages, and he’s incredibly threadbare with no stuffing in his neck).

What weird food quirks do you have? 

You mean I’m not the only one who puts ranch on everything, Rosy???

Are you working on any projects right now? 

I just finished up a big pin commission a few days ago, so not right now. Though I thought about making some Mob Psycho pins for myself, so we’ll see. XD

What movie or TV show is your guilty pleasure? 

I think I’m at the point where’s there’s nothing I’m really guilty about. XD Does Digimon count? Or maybe the D.Gray-man manga? Ah. I know: NFL football XD (this has become such a dumpster fire in the past decade but I can’t give up the one competitive sport I watch religiously lol)

Who was the best (or worst) teacher you ever had? 

I remember all of my 1st through 6th grade teachers being very nice, supportive, and just lovely people - Mrs. Terwilliger, Mrs. Song, Mrs. Callaway, Mrs. Wise, Mrs. Sebright, and Mr. Reed. My middle school - Mr. Burger - and high school - Mr. Curfman - band directors were some of the best in the area, always getting more out of us then what should have been possible, lol. Also liked some of my middle and high school Reading/Language Arts/English teachers - Mrs. Lane (who bless her heart had to put up with way too much with my class because I was with the rowdy kids), Ms. Hollibaugh (who first really got me interested in writing), Mr. Melvin (who was just really funny while being super dry but also serious...? he was an enigma to everyone, and we loved him for it), and Mrs. Clarke (who really encouraged me to keep writing and let me use fanfiction as extra credit XD).  And I had a really great computer science teacher in college - Mr. Rembert - with a good sense of humor that made everything easy to learn. He was also the anime club adviser, and owned a local gaming/comic shop, giving me an old Japanese Shounen Sunday magazine from when Ranma 1/2 was still in it as he didn’t know what else to do with it, lol.

Do you collect anything? 

Not really, though I have been known to spend money on Digimon merch. It’s a small collection, but I enjoy it! (Not enough Frontier merch, BTW!!)

I really have a hard time answering anything without long paragraphs full of text. XD But this was fun, and helped me pass some time while go through some music! Hmm, let’s see, this time I’ll tag @sinisterlutist and @gladrial!

because I haven’t seen a whole lot of discussion on this so far...

…we kind of really need to talk about zari attempting suicide twice in one episode (first with the gun when sara manages to stop her, and then with the bomb when she is convinced she will actually die and won’t come back and then she finds out it’s all a ruse from gideon).

I bring this up for two principal reasons. first, because mental health issues have never been addressed on the show in a sensitive way (take nate referring to kuasa as a “psycho water witch” and amaya comparing her to a gorilla - which has racial undertones too, btw - or nate telling mick that self-harm is “completely insane”, and those are just from season three). it’s unlikely zari will talk about her suicide attempts to anyone on the team, even though sara can relate, having taken the tibetan pit viper venom when she was on arrow to save her family. 

my second reason is that zari is canonically muslim. aside from zari’s family, the only other person who you could say was muslim across the flarrowverse (please do correct me if I’m mistaken) is an unnamed assassin who appears in 2x13 of arrow, who says part of the shahadah (which is the islamic declaration of faith) before he kills himself with poison to avoid giving information to sara, oliver and quentin.

I hope you see where I’m going with this. I’m uncomfortable with seeing a muslim character trying to kill herself for the greater good (in some way). I don’t like that, intentionally or not, that is the default for the paltry number of canonical muslims in flarrowverse (and don’t even get me started on the league of assassins and the way error casually borrowed actual islamic prayers to accompany gross acts of violence and to be the backdrop of an organisation of literal killers), to either attempt or commit suicide in such a way. and if I need to spell it out for anyone, yes, this made me as a muslim highly uncomfortable because people already think “muslim” is synonymous with “terrorist” and “suicide bomber”, and so seeing a canonically muslim character think she’s about to face death by bomb is just not okay with me.

and, okay, maybe the assassin’s suicide isn’t comparable to zari’s. the assassin would rather die than give up intel to team arrow. zari, meanwhile, carries that bomb to part of the waverider to save the others from the blast. put simply, the assassin is an antagonist and zari is a protagonist. the assassin is the coward. zari is a hero.

but I don’t understand why zari needed to do this to be a hero in the first place. she’s shown to have a knack with kids, and she’s helped the team on missions that have meant saving a lot of people - a whole city, at one point. why did she have to be subject to this kind of psychological torture (and before anyone tells me I’m exaggerating, zari relived that hour so many times she knew what everyone was saying by heart and also tried to kill herself. twice) by an ai who doesn’t trust her for reasons unknown? (like come on. mick has betrayed the team a couple of times now. rip has been full on brainwashed and gideon still listened to him, jeopardising the team’s safety. and look, I have friends who like rip and friends who like mick, so to be clear, I’m not trying to hate on either of them, but you have to at least see what they have in common - white, male, not of a religious minority. compare that to zari who is a persian muslim woman of colour. hmm. qwhite interesting, right?) it’s like gideon made her go through some sort of sick initiation to be considered more than an acquaintance and a “proper” member of the team. and I get that gideon isn’t really a person. but again, when you compare how zari is treated with the white men on the show, it says a lot.

and this isn’t about intention. I don’t care if @marcguggenheim didn’t mean to offend because it makes no difference to the actual offence caused. but when I heard a muslim character would be introduced to the flarrowverse, while I was obviously happy, I was also apprehensive. I now see that I was right to be.

okay so to be clear, my intention with this post is not to piss in anyone’s cornflakes, or rain on anyone’s parade. I don’t want to guilt anyone for not seeing this, because even for me as a muslim it didn’t click immediately. it was only really on reflection, having taken the time to digest the episode and try to put my finger on why something was off about it, that I realised the terrible connotations of the episode. that’s not to say that zari didn’t have some good moments that were lighthearted and funny, or that she didn’t grow as a character in this episode. but I don’t like that she needed to prove herself, so to speak, and I like even less the fact that she felt the only way to do that was to end her own life.

So throwing my opinion: I agree with the last ask, I love smol Rin and (wtf giant Kakashi what did you EAT), and for the trigger happy dude... just make these: sad childhood background, under someone who taught them to 'finish the job'; might be good for the Swordsmen or a fan of theirs (bordering religious). Or maybe from Iwa; exploits Earth techniques with a Juugo-type rage cross with Karin's character (think of hammer wielder). You could use something like Yosuga Pass anime story as his bg?

But now, I can't thank them enough-- words won't cut it. Ogami Banri: Haha. I see. I get happy whenever you guys praise those two-- as if I'm the one getting praised. Nanase Riku: Both members of Re:vale are really good people. Have they always been that way? Ogami Banri: No, uh....... Momo-kun's always been a good kid, but Yuki's personality has mellowed out quite a bit. Nikaidou Yamato: You call that mellow? Izumi Mitsuki: Your inner thoughts slipped out just now, old geezer. Ogami Banri: He used to be really quiet and was pretty presumptuous. He wouldn't even try to establish interpersonal relationships with anyone. Yuki was a real troublemaker back then. His face was his only redeeming point. Izumi Iori: Ogami-san, you really aren't holding back. Ogami Banri: All of his enemies religiously hated his guts. That's the kind of guy he was. He's always been stoic when it comes to music, though. Yotsuba Tamaki: I wanna hear one of Ban-chan and Yukirin's songs. One where you guys are singing together. Osaka Sougo: I am interested as well. Would it be possible to listen to one of those songs? Ogami Banri: Ah..... Yeah, sure. It's a little embarrassing, but I'll bring one of our CDs over next time. Izumi Mitsuki: Yay! I can't wait to hear! Nanase Riku: Yeah, Banri-san's really cool! It's such a waste that you work behind the scenes! Ogami Banri: ....... Ogami Banri: So I'm not very dependable in the office, then? Nanase Riku: Huh!? No, that's not what I mean! Rokuya Nagi: Why did you come to Takanashi Productions, Banri? And why did you decide to become an office worker, of all things? I guess all those rumors about how they don't get along are true....... Staff: It felt like they were gonna start fighting each other to the death in there.... Okazaki Rinto: Huh!? That tense!? I wonder what happened to those two....... *click* Okazaki Rinto: Yuki-kun, Momo-kun, don't fight! Momo: ......We weren't fighting. Yuki: ......We weren't fighting at all. Okazaki Rinto: Alright, you guys were definitely fighting. I can tell just from the atmosphere in here, you know. So are you guys fighting about today? Momo: Sorry, sorry. It's nothing big! Yuki's really gentle, that's why. He was just worried about me! Momo: But then he was like, 'There's a certain limit to things'....... Yuki: You don't like that I went to meet Tsukumo. Momo: What I'm mad about is the way you went about it! Remember what you said to me when I tried to stop you from going? Yuki: I don't remember. Momo: You told me that if I didn't let you go see him, then you were gonna disband Re:vale! I can't believe you said something like that so easily! Yuki: I've tried to stop you before and if anything, you're the one who never listens, Momo. Do you remember what you said to me? Momo: I think it was, 'I don't know what Ryou-san's gonna do to you, it's dangerous......' Yuki: Not that. You told me that he was good at mental attacks, and because I have a lot of trauma, he was definitely going to send me home in tears. That's what you said to me. Yuki: You took me for a fool. Momo: I didn't! I was just worried about you, Yuki! And despite all of that, you threatened to disband......! Yuki: I figured you wouldn't listen to me unless I said that. I mean, I'd lose if it turned into a fistfight. But that's just how much I didn't want you to go-- Momo: Just hit me with your car next time!! That would've been better! Momo: After you said 'disband,' my legs froze-- I couldn't even move an inch. It was like I subconsciously trying to protect myself from danger, even though I was really worried about you....... I don't want to feel that miserable ever again! Yuki: Well, that's on you, not me. Momo: ....... Okarin, can you hit me with a tranquilizer dart real quick? Before the most bizarre incident to even happen in entertainment history goes down here? (1) Okazaki Rinto: I'm afraid I can't do that. I don't have a hunting license. Yuki: You wouldn't be able to do it anyways, Momo. Just to set things straight, I'm the one who's pissed here. Not you. Yuki: I can't believe you put up with that psycho. To think that I had believed you out of the goodness of my heart when you told me he wasn't really a bad person.... I could weep right now. Yuki: Listen. Don't ever try to fool me, ever again. Momo: We've talked about this before. We decided that you'd handle Hoshikage while I'd handle Tsukumo, and make sure things were going smoothly with them. Didn't we decide that together? Momo: We've just been doing our respective jobs, that's all. All this talk about whether or not I fooled you is coming from a completely different dimension. If anything, don't get in my way, ever again. Yuki: ....... Okarin, bring me tequila right this instant. I might go mad if I continue this conversation sober. Okazaki Rinto: I'm afraid I can't do that. You both have to work soon. Yuki: Did you really think you could control him by yourself? Momo: Ryou-san's really fickle and only wants to do things for his own enjoyment. Once he finds another thing to play around with, he'll give up on whatever he's currently doing. Momo: If you throw his plans off trajectory, then the next step would be to suck up to him.... Or at least that's what should've happened. You made Ryou-san mad, didn't you? Yuki: How did you know? Momo: He sent me angry stamps and disentanglement puzzle stamps for five whole hours, alternating between the two. What the heck is a disentanglement puzzle anyways? Yuki: Who knows? I haven't got a clue. Momo: Anyways, we gotta butter him up, get back into his good graces, and carefully steer him back on course.... I'll go apologize to him this weekend-- Yuki: What? Apologize? What was the point of me visiting him then? Momo: That's what I wanna know! Yuki: ......Why must you act like an animal incapable of comprehending human speech? Is this some kind of harassment? Momo: What do you mean by animal!? Also, why would I be harassing you in the first place? Yuki: Because I let Ban listen to the demo before you. Didn't I apologize for that already? Momo: ....... Yuki: ....... Is this the first time I've brought it up......? Momo: ......It is, and I'm shocked. But....... I'm more shocked that you'd think I'd harass you over something like that!! Yuki: I didn't think you would. It's all because you keep saying unreasonable things, Momo! Okazaki Rinto: Stop, stop! Stop right there. Okazaki Rinto: Yuki, you crossed the line by threatening to disband. You too, Momo. You also told me that Ryou-san was a good person too. Okazaki Rinto: That's why I've let it slide every time he made fun of how my hair is parted 7:3....... Please refrain from interacting with bad people. (2) Momo: But if I did that, then he'll only keep getting worse. Ryou-san's gonna be company president after this. Yuki: See, Okarin? Momo's being unreasonable. Okazaki Rinto: Yuki-kun....... Yuki: Do as you like. There's no point in saying anything. Okazaki Rinto: You don't have to put it that way.... Yuki: I would never stoop so low as to flatter someone I could barely stomach, just to maintain my position in the industry. And I'm sure Ban wouldn't either. (3) Momo: ....... You said that on purpose just now, didn't you. Yuki: I did. I wanted to believe you were the same, Momo. But I guess I was just forcing my ideals onto you. Yuki: Go ahead, wag your tail and suck up to him. Bet it feels great to sit on that big, fluffy ol' throne you've set out for me. Yuki: Except I won't be anywhere near that. Momo: ....... Staff: Re:vale, you're up next. ......Re:vale? Okazaki Rinto: Y-yes, of course. They'll be out in just a moment. Let's talk about this afterwards, alright? Yuki: There's nothing to talk about. Momo: Yeah...... Okazaki Rinto: I'll make sure you do! For now, concentrate on the work before you. Alright, go get 'em!
